Response to the "Killer Angels" The Killer Angels is a historical novel written by Michael Shaara. It is one of the best novels I ever read. It describes four days at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania in the summer of 1863 in what many consider to be the turning point of the American Civil War. When I was reading this novel I had a feeling that I saw all events by my own eyes. It also made me realize how hard the life during the war is, especially a civil war when people are forced to fight with their countrymen. In this novel Michael Shaara gave us an opportunity to look at Civil war from the point of view of people who actually were fighting at that war.
