"Black" and "White" Styles of Basketball Since I don’t know that much about basketball, I really can not analyze the sport itself. But, I do think that Jeff Greenfield wrote a pretty good description on “black” and “white” basketball. Greenfield’s observation on basketball style between “black and “white” was a little confusing to me as I was reading. From, what I understand Greefield is trying to say is that “white” basketball seems to do more running back and forth, waiting for an open opportunity to shoot the ball into the basket.
