Movie: Anna and The King This movie was excellent! Since recently completing Humanities 1, it has helped me to understand the meaning of art. In doing so I learned to appreciate some of the most beautiful artistic styles in time. Humanities has also bought forth some clarity for me, in understanding why and how different types architecture styles of the pass and present were constructed and how those styles have effected modern society. Anna and The King is a story based on a woman who arrives in Siam around 1868, a widow with a young boy, and she finds herself dealing with and egotistic king who has a palace full of women who live there with his 68 children. Anna has been sent there, the palace to educate the king’s son, who also has little respect for women. Anna second purpose for her stay was to civilize the son by the British standards.
