Each year my family and I visit Beech Mountain, North Carolina, to relax and get away from our daily city-life routines. While vacationing we enjoy rafting, hiking, and hot cocoa in the winter or on cold summer nights. Nestled in the woods and high atop a mountain, our cabin is quaint and cozy. It is a log cabin with a long, winding, gravel driveway.
