Sexism Sexism is so prominent in our society today. Sexism is the discrimination of a person based on their gender. This term generally speaking is discrimination toward women. Sexism started so many years ago. Our country was pretty much so started with sexism in place. The women should stay home and take care of the home and family. Years ago women were not allowed to do much of anything other than tend to their family. They were not allowed to vote or own any land. Women were basically property of their husband. Today is much different. More and more women are in the workplace and having their own companies. Yes, sexism
