Malcolm X Malcolm Little was born to Earl and Louise Little in Omaha, Nebraska on May 19, 1925. He was the seventh child of the eleven children in the family. Soon after Malcolm was born his family moved to Lansing, Michigan. There the white people harassed them because they disliked his fathers black nationalists views. When Malcolm was six years old, his father got murdered, and his mother later then suffered a nervous breakdown, so the family had to be put on welfare.
