To Kill A Mockingbird: Atticus' Determination, Persistence, and Intelligence I think that a hero is someone that is looked up to and also is someone that cares about others. A hero doesn’t need to be a super hero, a rock star or even a sports figure. Most of the time it’s someone not famous and this person maybe living right next door to you. In the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee’s heroic character, Atticus Finch practices determination, persistence and intelligence. In this novel Atticus shows his determination through the many hardships experienced throughout the novel. For instance, Atticus knows that he won’t win the
