Dignity Of The Human Person Human dignity is the idea that the human person is worth something. If you take the catholic representation of this you could back it up in the sense that all people are created in the image of God. Therefore a person’s dignity passes through any kind of social classes. A human person is both a political and an economical being so their dignity transcends to both the political and the economical fields. But what is man? We have expressed ourselves as many things or with many definitions that often contradict each other. In these we often put ourselves as the absolute measure of all things.
