"Violence in Schools" In the aftermath of gun violence in schools across the country, many districts are examining tighter security measures to protect their students and teachers. Most of us were taught at a very early age that hurting others is wrong. We were also taught at a very young age that what we see on television is make believe. So why is it that parents are afraid to send their children to school? To "SCHOOL". Of all places to be afraid to go, school should not be one of them. Since we have all this violence in the world today, people are not safe in their own houses anymore. Schools are supposed to be an institution of higher learning not a killing field.
