A Tragic Day I had already had a bad day to begin with. I received an unsatisfactory grade on a physics test that I had studied for hours. It was around 12:45 p.m. when I got out of school, I went straight home because I was supposed to work at 3:00 p.m. I was not in the best condition to go to work so I made up a lie and called in. When I asked my manager if I could have the day off, she replied in a very improper manner and said that if I didn’t show she would fire me. At the time I was very angry so I decided not to show up. After my conversation with my manager, I had lunch and took a nap. It was around 4:50 p.m. when I woke up and it was time for me to pick up my mother from work
