A Review on Durable Goods by Elizabeth Berg It is a rare and precious occasion when we stumble accross a book that grabs us and pulls us in so closely that we feel an unmistakeable bond between ourselves and the characters in the book. A bond so close that we see and feel where the author is coming from. I recently came accross a novel by Elizabeth Berg entitled Durable Goods. I found it to be a rare gem of a book that fits my above descprition to a tee. Berg manages to enable us, her readers, to find commonality with her characters in that we are all human and we all experience the same triumphs, joys and sorrows. Elizab
